Hurricane Readiness Checklist

Now is a good time to schedule a policy review, please call our office or stop by.

• Review coverage details: Confirm what your policy covers for wind/storm surge and any excluded damage.

• Understand flood coverage: Standard homeowners' and renters' insurance usually do not cover flood damage; flood insurance may be separate.

• Check deductibles & limits: Know your hurricane/wind deductibles and coverage caps before a storm hits.

• Update your home inventory: Keep photos, receipts, and a recent list of major items (or use a home inventory app).

• Know your claims process: Save your insurer’s claim number and understand what documentation you’ll need.

• Store records safely: Keep copies of policy documents and your inventory in the cloud or a secure offsite location.

I have been an insurance agent in Pensacola since 1982. Longtime resident of Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Beach enthusiast, former Boy Scout of America Adult Leader, Tennessee Tech University B.S. and youth coach at Gulf Breeze recreational center.
